Hygiene and safety are crucial in the food industry. By following 3A sanitary standards, we at BSI – Begert Stainless Inc. are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of food safety. These rules assure that our equipment is created with hygienic procedures in mind, in addition to ensuring compliance with USDA and FDA requirements.
The Importance of 3A Sanitary Standards
3A sanitary standards focus on the design and fabrication of equipment that comes into contact with food products. The preferred material for food contact surfaces is stainless steel 304, renowned for its smooth, non-porous, and corrosion-resistant properties. This choice helps to create surfaces that are non-toxic, durable, and easy to clean, thereby minimizing the risk of contamination.
For non-product contact surfaces, our designs prioritize cleanability and corrosion resistance while being maintenance-free. Internal angles are covered and rounded, with no seams that can trap contaminants. Permanent joints are crafted to be smooth and durable, ensuring that all connections and attachments are free from dead ends that could harbor bacteria.
